Privacy Policy
Weather Snapshot is designed to provide useful weather information without accounts, advertising, tracking or third-party analytics.
Location
If you grant permission, Weather Snapshot uses your current location to request local weather conditions from Apple WeatherKit. You can instead search for a city or select a location on the map. The app does not monitor location in the background.
Information stored on your device
Saved places, unit and appearance preferences, notification-deduplication identifiers, and temporary forecast-comparison data are stored locally on your device. Weather Snapshot does not maintain an account or synchronize this information to an app-operated cloud service.
Apple services
Weather data is provided by Apple WeatherKit. Place search and map selection use Apple MapKit. On supported devices, optional summaries are generated on-device using Apple Intelligence. Apple services are governed by Apple’s applicable terms and privacy policies.
Notifications
If permitted, Weather Snapshot may schedule a local notification for an active weather warning fetched while the app is running. It does not use remote push notifications or perform continuous background weather monitoring.
Tracking, advertising and sale of data
Weather Snapshot contains no advertising SDK, third-party analytics or cross-app tracking. The app does not sell personal information.
